Koreans Deliver relief goods to flood victims
ROK Batt carries out Blue Angel Operation for submerged village

ROK Battalion carried out Blue Angel Operation (all sorts of CMA) in which encourages and supports those whom their houses were submerged from flood.

Major Kyu Yub Park (chief of ROK Batt CMAO) commanded the operation, consisting of some 20 people, and sympathized them with hope and encouragement. ROK Batt supported them with relief goods, medical treatment and agricultural implements maintenance.

Especially, ROK Batt emphasized the Operation by supporting daily necessaries such as 300 pairs of clothes, 50 pairs of shoes, 500 sets of school supplies and 300 toothbrushes and toothpaste. Juang san Mario (38), principal of DESA Daudere SD-2 elementary school, said, "Right after the worst flood since decades, ROK Batt was the first one that came here to help us. They also made a roundabout way for destroyed bridge in SICA area and enabled us to move outside. I thank ROK Batt for helping us in their best effort, even today."

Meanwhile, more than 300mm of heavy rain, from June 19 to next day, submerged 54 houses and farming land, and destroyed all the farm animals in Anarua Kampung. (1 hour-distance from Baucau to Lospaplos, Lautem district)
