Timor remains calm

The situation in East Timor especially along the TCL remains calm and peaceful, the United Nations Military Observer Group (UNMOG) reported Saturday to Lieutenant General Winai Phattiyakul during the weekly briefing at the Peace Keeping Force Headquarters.

black belt promotion were held on Sept. 21, the result of an eight month
Taekwando course which is officially part of East timor Defence Force (ETDF) basic training which comprises two hours a day.

Republic of Korea Battalion soldiers has been conducted with great solemnity under supervision of Father Basilio, a parish bishop in Baucau, in saint Paulus church, Lospalos on last Sep 15.

of Korea Battalion Commander COL. Jeong Ha Lee and his Unit deployed to East Timor on April 20th, 2001. On September 13th, 2001, they received UN medals for their peace keeping activities in East Timor.
ROK Batt, supported by Korean firm, held delivering goods in Don Bosco church.

Fatal PKF Vehicle Accident
11/09/0 (UN PKF) At approximately 10.45 am
yesterday, a truck carrying Fijian soldiers from the New Zealand Battalion overturned 3 kilometers east of Taroman in East Timor. One soldier was killed and 11 other Fijian soldiers sustained a variety of injuries.
